Badger biosecurity factsheets

As part of my work with the TB advisory service I have created three new fact sheets relating to badger activity and farm biosecurity:

  • Badger field signs– what are the typical field signs left by badgers in the landscape and what do they look like?
  • Feed sources eaten by badgers – badgers will regularly enter farm yards and food is a key reason for this. This fact sheet lists the key food sources which are likely to attract badgers.
  • Using cameras to identify badger activity in farm yards – trail cameras or camera traps can be used to identify whether badgers are visiting farm buildings. This factsheet offers some key tips on how to use cameras in farmyards to identify activity

These factsheets can be found here on the TBhub website and also on the TB fact sheet page on this website.
